Well at last I finally got around to expanding my site. This weekend I discovered a couple of artists who’s music I enjoy while watching Crossfade TV  on CNetTV.com . You can find more of their music on Music.Download.com

From the UK playing 12 string guitar is 25 year old (1983) James Blackshaw . He has been performing and recording since 2003, his name is frequently mentioned as one of the foremost modern solo acoustic guitarists. He is an untrained musician residing in Greater London and draws much inspiration from early religious music and South-Asian folk music. He makes expert use of Eastern and Western scales, chord changes reminiscent of European classical music and incredibly intricate fingerpicking patterns to make a sound that is both challengingly minimalistic, yet warm and approachable to anybody who might hear it, with a rare sensitivity that conveys both immense beauty, hope and sadness. You can listen to some of James’ music at Music.Download.com

Gnarls Barkley  is the teaming up of Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo Green. Their first album was St. Elsewhere. They have a new single named ‘Run’ and will be releasing a new album appropriately named ‘Odd Couple’ in April, 2008. Their music is hard to describe but has good rhythms and catchy lyrics. Danger Mouse, a.k.a. Brian Burton, produced the infamous Grey Album, a full-length blend of the Beatles’ music and Jay-Z’s raps that became a cult classic after it was suppressed by EMI. He recently garnered a Grammy nomination for Producer of the Year for his work with the “virtual band” Gorillaz.

Cee-Lo Green, a.k.a. Thomas Calloway, is a Dungeon Family alumnus, once-and-future member of Goodie Mob and a wildly eclectic solo artist. His music is steeped in the gospel and blues traditions of the Southeast, merging timeless soul with experimental funk and hip hop.
